Why might my child need Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapists work with children on:
improving fine motor skills
addressing hand-eye coordination to improve kids’ play and school skills (hitting a target, batting a ball, copying from a blackboard, etc.)
learning basic tasks (such as bathing, getting dressed, brushing teeth, and feeding themselves)
maintaining positive behaviors in all environments
evaluating the need for specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs, splints, bathing equipment, dressing devices, or communication aids
improving attention and social skills to allow development of interpersonal relationships.
Helping to regulate sensory systems to participate in all childhood activities.

We offer consultations and coaching for parents and teachers who want guidance, clarity, and support, regardless of if their child does not have a diagnosis, is not in therapy, and does not need therapy. Even if your child does not current need extra support, you can still gift yourself support in being parenting in alignment with your values.
